Often called “Detroit Agate,” Fordite isn’t a stone at all. It’s created from decades of layered automotive paint that accumulated inside paint booths during the golden age of American automobile manufacturing. As vehicles moved through the paint process, overspray gradually built up layer upon layer before eventually being removed and discarded. Today, those colorful layers reveal incredible patterns and colors that can never be duplicated.

This particular Fordite originated from the historic production lines of Ford Motor Company, preserving a tangible piece of American automotive history. Every swirl, stripe, and color transition represents thousands of vehicles that rolled off the assembly line and into American driveways.
